State Theatre Membership Program

Members of the State Theatre contribute to the ongoing operation and preservation of the theater – and enjoy exclusive member benefits, including discounted movie tickets and special members-only events! Please become a Member now, or renew your membership! Your membership dollars help more than you know. As we all try to manage our way through these harsh economic times, your support is even more critical.

State members receive electronic swipe cards printed with their name, membership level and expiration date. Members present their card at the box office when purchasing or picking up tickets. Please allow 5-10 business days for membership card processing. Note that you can enjoy your member benefits while you wait for your card – just let the volunteers in the box office know that you’re waiting for your card, and you can use your benefits immediately.

Memberships are non-transferable. Benefit changes may be made at the discretion of the Traverse City Film Festival.

Special Offer: You can renew now and only pay half the year’s dues ($20 for Senior, $25 for Basic and $50 for Premium Memberships). Then you can pay the other half in six months. This option is only available if you can provide a credit card number for the second payment. Email info@traversecityfilmfestival.org or visit the box office if you’d like to take advantage of this option.

Please note that the Friends of the Film Festival and State Theatre Memberships are unrelated programs. The Friends benefit the festival and get to order festival tickets before the general public, while the State Members benefit the State Theatre and get year-round movie-going benefits.   • Admission to all regular first-run movies is $6.00 ($2.00 off regular adult admission). Limit two tickets per visit.

  • $1.00 off regular matinee prices

Senior Basic – 65 and older ($40)

  • Admission to all regular first-run movies is $6.00 ($2.00 off regular adult admission). Limit two tickets per visit.

  • $1.00 off regular matinee prices
  • Admission to members-only events

Premium Annual Membership ($100)

  • Admission to all regular first-run movies is $6.00 ($2.00 off regular adult admission). Limit two tickets per visit.
  • $1.00 off regular matinee prices
  • Admission to members-only events
  • Monthly members e-newsletter
  • Free admission to movies on the first Thursday of each month (the day of the week has changed from Wednesday to Thursday because of the new Wednesday night classics)

All-Access Annual Membership, Individual ($300)
